Many etiologic factors have been attributed to the development of cholesteatoma in the external ear canal. External auditory canal cholesteatoma which does not have any etiologic factor is a very rare disease in the otologic field. We report 3
cases of
external auditory canal cholesteatoma without contributing causes, which could be diagnosed by physical findings, radiologic evaluation and confirmation of pathology with surgery. (Korean J Otolaryngol 38:11, 1995)
